Freezes on the first run

After phone is re-started, the first attempt to launch the app causes it to freeeze. If exited to the home screeen, the second attempt is successful. Samsung Focus.

Venue with accent can't be checked

If the place name have an accent, like Sélestat, the application show a "server NotFound" error message.

Places locations separating out cities too granularly

login logic bug

hitting 'back' from the main menu takes you to the login page with the button disabled. A sign that the login page should be reimplemented as a transient control anyway.

app.xaml still uses old styles

delete all the auto-generated styles from app.xaml and use the offical ones.

enable to-do marking and checking off

update the tips UI and data structures to allow users to create and check off to-do items within the app. Create another tips pivot for 'my todos'.

app is not theme aware

The app only runs with a dark background, which is kind of jarring if the phone is running in light theme.
